Empire Racing Helps Unveil Warriors In The Workplace at NAPT Summit in Memphis

(Mooresville, NC) October 26, 2012 Officials at Empire Racing, LLC worked with the new nonprofit organization, Warriors In The Workplace, to help unveil their program in style at the 2012 NAPT (National Association for Pupil Transport) Annual Summit. Empire Racing donated logo space on two trucks for Warriors In The Workplace to display at the Cook Convention Center in Memphis, TN earlier this week.

“We are incredibly grateful to everyone at Empire Racing for donating the use of the two trucks to use at our booth at the NAPT Annual Summit and within the Thomas Built Buses booth. The trucks looked amazing and it was just what we needed to develop a buzz about the program as Warriors In The Workplace made its national debut. Thanks to Sean Corr, Empire Racing, and John Bellesfield for the use of the trucks and for all their help” explained John Birmingham, Executive Director of Warriors In The Workplace.

The mission of Warriors In The Workplace is to help restore, empower, and renew hope for our U.S. Military Veterans as they look to transition from a military career to a rewarding and sustaining career within the civilian sector, based upon the skills they have learned and perfected throughout their tenure in the military. Warriors In The Workplace offers a venue for employers and veterans seeking employment in the civilian sector to connect. “This is a program that we, here at Empire Racing, really believe in” said Empire Racing Team Manager, John Bellesfield. “There is a staggering unemployment rate for our returning heroes, more than double that of the regular population, and we really felt that any way we could help with the launch of a program to address that, we had to do. Our returning military deserve a better employment outlook after sacrificing for our country. We are pleased we were able to help in the unveiling of the Warriors In The Workplace program”.

Empire Racing, LLC was founded in 2009 as driver, Sean Corr, transitioned his racing career from the dirt track to asphalt. In 2010, Empire Racing began its relationship with Team Manager, John Bellesfield, of Excel Motorsports. Together they have worked to create an impressive resume of accomplishments, including a 9th place finish in overall Championship points in the 2011 ARCA Racing Series during Sean’s Rookie year, finishing 2nd in 2011 Rookie of the Year points, Daytona pole award winner in 2012, and a debut in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series at Pocono in August 2012.
