Empire Racing’s Restore-Recover-Renew Tour to Daytona

(Goshen, NY) December 14, 2012 In keeping with the team ideals, Empire Racing will embark on a tour of VA Medical facilities and military installations along the East coast in the lead up to the Daytona 500. The Restore – Recover – Renew (R3) Tour will take the team’s one of a kind, handicap accessible, ride along truck to visit past and present heroes in thanks for their service to our country.

Empire Racing’s Restore-Recover-Renew (R3) Tour is a 24 day tour which will begin in New York City, travel down the coast and end in Daytona Beach. Stops on the tour will offer rides in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series style truck to our heroes in an effort to give back to those who have served and to lift veteran’s spirits. Unlike the typical ride along vehicle, Empire Racing’s Ride Along Truck offers a handicap accessible seat, so that our wounded heroes will be able to participate in the same way an able bodied hero can.

The goal of the R3 Tour is to offer support to our past and present military personnel who are recovering from physical and emotional trauma and to educate the public on ways they can help our veterans . Empire will be partnering on the R3 Tour with the nonprofit organization Warriors In The Workplace to increase awareness of the staggering unemployment rates faced by returning Gulf War II Era vets, and to offer a way to help find post military careers in the civilian sector.
