Sean Corr Heads Back to the Track at Talladega

(Mooresville, NC) April 29, 2013 Sean Corr heads back to the track for the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards’ International Motorsports Hall of Fame 250 at Talladega Superspeedway on May 3rd. Corr will be driving the same superspeedway car that he finished an ARCA Racing Series career high 5th at Daytona in February. Friday’s race will be televised live on SPEED at 5pm (ET).
“This #82 Warriors In The Workplace Ford Fusion car was great at Daytona, we had to replace the right rear fender after the race but there was not much more that needed improvement. I am a little superstitious and when we talked about changing the color, I wanted it to stay desert tan, we had good luck with that color and I don’t want to mess with that. I am looking forward to getting back on the track with the Warriors In The Workplace Ford,” said Corr.

The ride around the track may be familiar, but Talladega has Empire Racing and Sean welcoming a new face on the pit box. Officials at Empire Racing have announced the addition of NASCAR Camping World Truck Series and ARCA Racing Series veteran Jamie Jones as crew chief of the #82 team. Jones, who has ten years of experience in the NCWTS, was brought on as the team focuses their efforts towards the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series this season. Empire Racing will capitalize on Jones’ experience as they continue to run a limited schedule in both the ARCA Racing Series and NASCAR Camping World Truck Series this season.

After Friday’s race, Sean will be attending the Alabama Institute for the Deaf and Blind’s fundraiser “Race Fever” with several other drivers. Sean will join both ARCA and NASCAR drivers signing autographs and meeting fans at the International Hall of Fame SPEED Channel Dome. Race Fever proceeds benefit the AIDB Foundation. Attracting 1,200 participants from the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico, at least 35-40 ARCA, Nationwide, and Sprint NASCAR drivers will join MRN’s Steve Post for stage interviews and fan autographs, Darrell Waltrip will host a live auction of items, and NASCAR President Mike Helton will be in attendance.
